About the School of Engineering

Picture
A Great Engineering School in the Heart of the Twin Cities, Minnesota

St. Thomas is a nationally recognized leader for innovation in undergraduate engineering experience, and a preferred choice for working scientists and engineers in the region to advance their technical careers through graduate education. Our work reflects the technical vitality and entrepreneurial spirit of the businesses and ventures that thrive in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul region. We hold the mission of the University to advance the common good as our central pillar. We flourish from the breadth of perspectives offered by disciplines across the St Thomas campus (including Humanities, Arts, and Business), and, in return, lend our own voice to the technical literacy of the St. Thomas community.
As part of the largest private university in Minnesota, the School of Engineering comprises nearly 15% of the campus population. The School of Engineering offers undergraduate programs in Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Engineering. Additionally, we have masters level programming in the areas of Data Science, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineering.
As a high-energy, entrepreneurial unit of the University of St. Thomas, the school supports the University's rationale for existence as expressed in the University's mission statement.
